The La Porte Aero Club, founded in 1976, has a clubhouse at the LaPorte Municipal Airport (KPPO). We are a social club with a shared passion for aviation, rather than an airplane-owning club. Our members include pilots, flight instructors, ultralight pilots, and aviation enthusiasts. We also encourage members to bring their children along!

2024 Scholarship/Sponsorship Application
LaPorte AeroClub is offering the following sponsorships and scholarships for 2024:
One sponsorship for flight training up to $3000
One sponsorship for AP - AI training up to $3000
One scholarship for Aviation Management up to $3000
*The use of the money is limited to 12 months after receiving the award and may be used for aircraft rental or sim training only.
Requirements: This application is for individuals pursuing flight training/ratings (student, sport, recreational, private, commercial, ATP, instrument, etc.) with a certified flight instructor, individuals pursuing secondary education in an aviation related field, or individuals pursuing an A&P or IA certification. Applicant must be between the ages of 16-35. Secondary education application requires Indiana residency. Monies awarded must be applied within 12 months after receiving the award to aircraft rental or sim training only for the scholarships, or towards certification for the sponsorship.
